Flap Actuator

Postby Hank Sproull » Wed Dec 04, 2013 1:31 am

I am on my second flap actuator this one was an exchange from Cessna
Lasted 770 hrs and is making a terrible noise.
The standby motor drive roll pin is also sheared.
Can any one advise if they have similar service difficulties?
I have checked the rigging to see if flaps are not not bottoming in the full down and up positions? All looks ok?

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

There is an amended rigging procedure for the flaps. Using the newest procedure may solve your problem. Let me know if i can be of any further help.

Thanks Candyman
I have since found the stby motor drive had shared off in the rubber drive coupling.
Since removing the stby motor and drive assy all works and sound just fine.
