So FedEx is going to equip the entire fleet with TKS. Anyone have experience with it? How did you like it?

I have some experience with TKS only in SR22. You have to use it right before entering the "suspected" icing conditions. When I used it, it worked some. But with leading edge's porous surface not being all even, you could see the clear streaks that had the fluid and the areas it didn't cover. It will be intersting to see how the "van" will work and the characteristics in these conditions.

Shouldn't be a mystery, all the Caravans built in the last year with deice have been TKS, Cessna doesn't do boots on Caravans anymore.

Anybody I know who's flown with TKS loves it, just not the guy that cleans the hanger floor.

Nice! Good to know. You are right about cleaning TKS off the floor.
